Chief Scientist Dr Dave Drew has worked widely in the "Growth and Yield" space in forestry for well over 25 years in South Africa, Australia and the USA. He has a B.Sc. Forestry degree from Stellenbosch University (Stellenbosch, South Africa), an M.Sc. degree from the University of Natal (Durban, South Africa) and a PhD in forest growth and wood formation modelling from Monash University (Melbourne Australia). He has been part of some great teams over the years, including as a Researcher at the CSIR (South Africa), a Research Scientist at CSIRO (Australia) and an Associate Professor at Stellenbosch University (South Africa).

We have worked with many clients from across three continents on wide-ranging projects. These have included growth and yield assessments and reviews in Latin America, the development of growth and yield modelling systems in west Africa and estimation of standing biomass using satellite imagery in central Africa.
